Secure funding to allow childcare centers to operate safely
Urge our Quad Cities Congressional Delegation to support funding the childcare industry in Phase 4 COVID relief legislation.
Early childcare has been a concern for the Quad Cities Chamber since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Breakdowns in childcare cost economies millions if not billions of dollars. The US Chamber Foundation found Iowa loses $934 million annually as a result of childcare breakdowns. A Ready Nation/America's Edge report found Illinois loses over $2 billion a year as a result of childcare breakdowns.
Our children, workforce, and economy depend on accessible childcare. We must find a solution to adequately fund quality childcare. Any legislation that does not include childcare will stagnant growth.
Please join the Quad Cities Chamber and urge our Senators and Representatives to fund childcare!
